We are back in Kissimmee, Florida -- our home since April 2015. As you know we left Florida with the intention to become church planters with NAMB in Phoenix. That was late July 2017. But our intentions are not always God's. We thought it was His, but He had other plans. "For I know the plans I have for you, says the LORD. They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope" Jeremiah 29:11 NLT

 So our first weekend back in Florida is proving that to be true. Eight days ago we left Arizona not defeated but delighted in God's provision and in our arrival, protection. Today was our first Sunday back at Creed Life Church and it was awesome. Our re-connection was solid and assuring. More info on that to come. There are four season in the year. In Florida, where I currently live, the season are here too but not like in New Hampshire where I'm from. Florida has HEAT. I remember visiting my parents back in the 90s at their winter home in Wachula around Thanksgiving. We already had snow before our drive south. As we hit Virginia and North Carolina it was apparent we were no longer in the frozen tundra. My parent's mobile home had two bedrooms. It wasn't big enough for us and our two sons. They did, however, have a pop-up trailer under the carport, so it was fine. To stay in a pop-up in Northern New England in late November mas near impossible. You would begin to shiver in about 5 minutes. Nights would reach a low of 0°-20°F. But not so in Florida. After a great Thanksgiving feast we went shopping at the local Walmart. He Who Has An Ear -- MMB 10-21-24

Those words in the title come from Revelation 2 and 3 as John writes Jesus' words to the seven churches. Except for a very few, most of us have two ears. Jesus simply says, "he who has an ear let him hear...". Sadly, at times we shut out hearing the Lord, or tune in to things other than the Lord, or even replace hearing Him with hearing our enemy.  Psalm 112:7-9 NLT: "They do not fear bad news; they confidently trust the Lord to care for them" "They are confident and fearless and can face their foes triumphantly" "Their good deeds will be remembered forever" "They will have influence and honor"   Psalm 112 illustrates what our ears need to hear from the Almighty. First, confidently trust the Lord. That means without waivering. He cares for us so why seek anything else? Just throw yourself in His care alone. Second, confidently and fearlessly remain in Him. Blessed ... Psalm 33

"Blessed is the nation who's God is the Lord." Psalm 33:12 ESV Post election comments for the Church of Jesus Christ. This is not a political statement. This is not a pro-candidate writing. This is not to be seen other than a word to the Body of Christ. Politics divide. The Holy Spirit unites. Politics are extreme. The Lord is loving to all. Politics have agendas. The Heavenly Father has a perfect will. Politics will use hate speech. God speaks with mercy and grace. Politics lifts up personalities. Christ is the one who must be lifted up. This past season of politics in America ended today. Oh, there are a few races left to be determined but your mail box and streets should finally become free from political litter (I call it).
